Adrenaline has an in house sterilization facility which contains many of the same instruments used in doctor and dental offices. our autoclaves are tested mechanically and chemically every day through gauges, printouts, indicator strips and integrator strips, as well as tested biologically biweekly through Micryllium laboratory spore tests. Every invasive instrument used at adrenaline is run through the autoclave with it's own indicator strip, in addition to those provided on the sterilization pouches to ensure that proper steam saturation has occurred. Also, every autoclave cycle is run with a packaged integrator strip to ensure proper heat, saturation, and pressure was reached to appropriately sterilize all equipment. Every autoclave cycle is carefully recorded in a log to correspond to accepted biological spore testing results to further ensure your safety. Every needle, either for piercing or tattooing, used at Adrenaline is single use and is pre-sterilized or sterilized on site. All piercing and tattoo instruments go through an intensive cleaning procedure before they are ready to reuse.
First, all instruments are subjected to a thorough scrub in an industry approved enzyme solution called Prepzyme to remove any large debris or ink. The instruments are then left to soak in a 52 enzyme effervescent, disinfectant bath of Efferzyme for 10 minutes. After soaking, the instruments are placed in an ultrasonic which is filled with a cavicide surface disinfectant, decontaminant bath and run for another 30 minutes in which the high frequency sound waves from the ultrasonic knock off any remaining gross debris. The instruments are then dried and packaged ready to be sterilized in the autoclave. All instruments are run through the autoclave on a 30 minute cycle, not including time to heat and dry. the instruments are then sterile and ready to use.

Adrenaline is one of the most hygienic and sterile piercing and tattoo shops in the US. We are constantly consulting with health and industry professionals to endure that our knowledge on sterilization and cross contamination is up to and above industry standard. Our staff has received training and certification from Health Educators, Inc. in, not only infection control and anatomy and would care but also in advanced piercing and tattoo theory and practice. 
Before every piercing or tattoo at Adrenaline, you will see your artist remove all instruments, needles and even medical supplies, including gauze and cotton swabs, from its own individual sterile pack. The tattoo and piercing stations at Adrenaline are disinfected using a hospital grade germicidal solution called MadaCide-FD. Every part of a tattoo or piercing station that is anticipated to become contaminated will first be covered with a barrier such as dry back dental bibs to reduce chances of such contamination. In addition to this, Adrenaline is equipped with hands free foot pumps for our antimicrobial scrubs and mouthwashes so cross contamination is totally avoided.
